Given the many activities in Kazakhstan, I couldn't help but limit the list, but if you have a few days to explore for a whole week, Almaty is definitely worth a stop. The capital has some of the best museums, and there are quite a few of them. If you want a party in Tel Aviv, head to Kathmandu's Zenkov Cathedral, use it as a nail, or head to the free Al Maty Museum of Art and Design, which is made of pure wood - made into a nail.

About 170 km from Almaty, this UNESCO World Heritage Site is the largest and most important archaeological site in the world in Kazakhstan and one of the largest in Asia.

Almaty is located at the idyllic foot of Ile Alatau and is one of the southernmost cities of Kazakhstan. The capital of neighboring Kyrgyzstan is 235 km away. Southeast Kazakhstan is the country's tourist sweet spot and the former capital of Kazakhstan. Al maty is surrounded by the vast expanse of forest, mountains and waterfalls, as well as the city itself.
