Almaty Kazakhstan Hotels
Malaysia's capital city recently took first place in the Finance & Housing Index for housing construction. Kuala Lumpur won the title for the second year in a row, this time with a total of 1,843 units.
Most of those surveyed living in Kuala Lumpur said it was easy to find housing, with seven out of ten saying affordability was very good, while one in five (20%) said housing was affordable in the city. According to a recent survey of 1,000 respondents, more than two-thirds (67%) or 66% of respondents also agreed that housing in Malaysia's capital is generally affordable.
Kuala Lumpur is not the only Asian city to make it into the top 10 of the financial and housing index. The respondents in Kuala Lumpur said they were the most affordable city in the world, with 76% saying so, compared to 61% worldwide. Almaty is no longer the capital, but after Moscow it is the second largest city with the highest number of hotel rooms per capita in Kazakhstan.
Located near the Central Stadium of Almaty, many of the city's attractions can be reached by the brilliant Almaty Metro. If you are not nearby, you can also reach many of these attractions on foot, by bike or even by bus, but if you want to get out of the city, hostels offer a number of tours that can take you on at very affordable prices.
If you want to explore the city on the last day without annoying luggage, you can use the luggage storage facilities in the hotel. Dostyk Hotel is one of the best hotels in Almaty and also among the top ten hotels in Kazakhstan. Both hotels have a 24-hour reception and luggage storage, but airport transfers can be arranged at an extra cost.
The cacophonous Green Market is reminiscent of the old Silk Road, while the world's largest outdoor market is held in the snow-covered Zailiysky Alatau, the capital of Almaty. Both hotels have restaurants and both also house beautiful neoclassical buildings that once served as Kazakhstan's Ministry of Geology. The Central State Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan is 1.7 km away and also houses the largest collection of Soviet art in Kazakhstan. While the Kazakh city is home to socialist and modernist buildings, the presence of the former Soviet Union is also visible.
Many of the main sights are within easy reach, including the bus from Shymulak or Medeu, and some hostels can arrange tours if you want to set off. Sixty rooms may not be small in most cities, but our recommendation for Almaty does not apply to the small Worldhotel Saltanat in Almaty.
The Worldhotel Saltanat Almaty Hotel is located within walking distance from the city centre and is located in a beautiful area with a magnificent view of Kunaev Park. Grand Tien Shan is also a good option as it is located in the city centre, near Kununev Park. Both hotels are located a few blocks apart on the same street, in front of a large shopping mall and restaurants.
