Almaty Kazakhstan Attractions
Here are some of the reasons why you should visit Almaty, Kazakhstan, and why I love it there, as well as some of my favorite things about the city.
Almaty, also known as the City of Apple Trees, is one of the best cities I can visit due to my travels in Central Asia. The capital has good museums, there are a lot of them, but the most visited cultural centre of the city is the Central State Museum of Kazakhstan. There are more than 300,000 exhibits and it is the largest museum of its kind in Kazakhstan with over 1,500 exhibits.
There are so many things you can do as a teenager in Almaty that you will be entertained with your family throughout your stay There is so much to see and do in Almaty and there are some good places to visit, but there is more than enough to keep you and your families entertained throughout your visit to the capital of Kazakhstan.
Charyn Canyon is undoubtedly the best place in Almaty and should be included on your Kazakhstan trip. There are some interesting places in and around Almaty, but it is undoubtedly one of the most popular tourist destinations in the whole country of Kazakhstan, with over 1,000 km of hiking trails.
To visit Almaty and its impressive surroundings, you should first take a train westwards to the city of Shymkent. If you are looking for a remote place that is not crowded with tourists, Shymburg, a small town in northern Kazakhstan, is a place where you can find a little solitude and tranquility. To speed things up, you can also get a first impression of backpacking in Kazakhstan, first for more than a week, and then on to Charyn Canyon and the rest of the country's trails.
Most major European airlines fly there, but two small nearby airports are served by semi-regular charter flights, which will be the starting point of your trip when you visit Kazakhstan, and flights from Moscow are also available. The hub of Almaty also has its own airport, and you will all find a variety of flights to and from Almaty and other destinations in the country.
All major cities of Kazakhstan, such as Astana, Krasnoyarsk, Tashkent and Kherson, are accessible from Almaty.
Because of its size and importance in Kazakh history, Almaty is a fantastic city with many things to do. Here in Aktau you can admire some of the most famous sights of Kazakhstan, such as the Great Hall of the Kazakh National Museum. Taraz is another famous tourist resort in Kazakhstan and is worth a visit for its beautiful architecture and ruins. There are a number of great restaurants and shops in the city as well as a variety of shops, restaurants, shops and hotels.
In return, city planners were able to devote resources to the introduction of a number of new attractions, such as Almaty-Astana International Airport and the city centre. Before the capital was renamed Astanas in 1997, AlMaty was the second largest city in Kazakhstan after Aktau with 1.5 million inhabitants.
Almaty is worth a stop if you have the opportunity to explore a whole week in a few days, but it is extremely important to have a good place to stay and stroll around. Kazakhstan is definitely worth a visit with its many experiences, especially for those who are less on the road and want to experience it. There are so many things to do in Kazakhstan, and it helps to narrow the list, as there is so much more to do than just the city centre.
There are 26 museums in Almaty that you can visit during your long stay in the city, but many of the smaller museums have information only in Russian. Kazakhstan does not have much tourism, and there is a lot of information and tours in AlMaty, as Kazakhstan is still developing its tourism initiatives. So little is known about Borat since it is part of the U.S., and that is why it was stationed in Kazakhstan.
The best thing is that Kazakhstan is not yet a tourist center, but if you want to make your vacation adventurous and entertaining, this is the best place to travel. If you are longing for an unusual escape, it should be on your list, and Almaty is an exciting city. You probably don't plan to come to Kazakhstan just to see the city and life, so here's a list of what to do in Astana, unless you're in the capital!
Almaty is an interesting destination, but it is not where Astana is, although Kazakhstan is trying to establish it as a cultural center. It is a place where the petroleum wealth is obvious, and it is all Kazakhstan.
